An example of civil architecture of the beginning . XX century. Creates an ensemble with a one-story red brick building standing next to it. The buildings were built in the traditional eclectic style of the early twentieth century with elements of Art Nouveau.
According to the materials of the Central State Administration of the Republic of Kazakhstan, "the building of the Kostanay Zemstvo hospital without interior decoration was built by December 1912. Construction was suspended due to a lack of funds from a government loan for public works, although "very significant capital" was spent. The Turgai Governor additionally allocated 19536 rubles for the completion of the outpatient clinic, the hospital building and services." At the beginning of 1913, the construction of the zemstvo hospital was completed.
During the Great Patriotic War, the military hospital No. 3597 was located in the building of the V. I. Lenin Hospital (as it was called since 1924), where wounded soldiers were brought to be treated. Lenin Hospital served as a city and regional hospital until 1958. In the 60s and 70s of the XX century, there was an ENT department and a pharmacy in the old building. Currently, the old buildings are no longer used for hospital needs. Various public organizations are located in the building.

The building is located at 151 "A" 1st May Street. It is rectangular in plan, built of brick on a ribbon foundation of rubble stone. The structure is two-storeyed, with asymmetrical risalites on the northern facade. In the same part of the facade there is an entrance, solved in the form of a portal.
Between the windows of the first and second floors there are two-row raskrepovka, which encircles the entire building along the perimeter.
The asymmetry in the layout, the broken forms of the parapet indicate the partial use of elements of Art Nouveau architecture.
