Our funds

The stock collections of the Kostanay Regional Museum of Local Lore have over 130 thousand museum items. The archaeological collection of the museum is represented by unique finds of the Stone Age, the Bronze Age, the Early Iron Age, amazing works of primitive art are world—famous: stone sculpture – "Tobolsk thinker", an altar with the head of argali, the pommel of the sacrificial hammer "Hammer-God".

The ethnographic collection, which the museum traditionally pays special attention to, includes one of the best jewelry collections in Kazakhstan and an excellent collection of national costumes. About 4 thousand works of painting, graphics, and sculpture of the founders and leading masters of Kazakh fine art, as well as famous artists of Russia, Ukraine, Transcaucasia, have an art collection of the museum.

Unique cultural values from the museum's funds are included in the State Register of objects of National and Cultural Heritage of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the multimedia encyclopedia "Museum Treasures of Kazakhstan".
