(1869, Koshalak village of Zhangeldinsky district -1919) - a famous Kazakh educator, cultural worker, participant of the Alash movement.He graduated from the Orenburg Teachers' Seminary. Since 1905, he taught at the Seminary of Semipalatinsk, then taught Kazakh at the higher primary school. Is the teacher of K.Satpayeva, M.Auezova, S.Begalina. Since 1905, he has been a member of the Social Democrats Party. His acquaintance with A.Baitursynov had a strong influence on his future. In 1908 he was accepted as a member of the Semipalatinsk branch of the Western Siberian Geographical Society. In the department, he was part of the verification commission, entrusted the collection to the department of the Museum of Regional History, which included ancient history, music, folklore heritage. In 1917, he was elected a member of the Kazakh Committee of Semipalatinsk region (now East Kazakhstan region). While on the committee, he contributed to the development of the Alash national liberation movement. His articles were published in such newspapers as «Қазақ», «Бірлік туы», «Үш жүз». In 1919, he died at the hands of Kolchak's executioners. In the city of Arkalyk, the street is named after the Kulzhanovs.
