(1913, Altynsarinsky district of Kostanay region - 1988) - Doctor of Historical Sciences, Professor, Honored school teacher of the Kazakh SSR, Soviet party and statesman of the Kazakh SSR.
Graduated from the Faculty of Mechanics and Mathematics of Lomonosov Moscow State University. He worked as Deputy People's Commissar of Education of the Kazakh SSR, First Secretary of the LKSM Central Committee of Kazakhstan, first secretary of the Alma-Ata Regional Committee of the CP of Kazakhstan, headed the Ministry of Culture of the Kazakh SSR. From 1962 to the end of his life, A. K. Kanapin headed the Department of History of the CPSU of the Almaty Pedagogical Institute of Foreign Languages. He has published over 200 scientific papers and articles, including 6 monographs. The statesman and public figure, scientist, teacher made a significant contribution to the development of culture, education, education and science.
