The store building on Kasymkhanov Street (the original name of the street was Lomachevskaya, then Insurgent) was built at the end of the XIX century by the famous Kostanay merchant and industrialist Arkhipov. He conducted flour and grocery trade in Kostanay and surrounding villages.
From 1910 to 1917, the wholesale state-owned (state) wine store "Centrospirt" was located in the former shop of the merchant Arkhipov on Lomachevskaya (Kasymkhanova) street of the city of Kostanay. In the post-revolutionary years, the building continued to be used as a trading establishment.
There is an assumption that from 1905 to 1910 the building belonged to industrialist Stoly, who bought the building after the bankruptcy of Arkhipov. The industrialist himself So managed the company selling agricultural machines "So and K0".

The building is a one–story structure typical of the late XIX - early XX century. The residential building is made of red brick.
The ceilings are high, the windows are arched. Rectangular in plan house on a foundation of rubble stone.
