A monument of Russian architecture, characteristic of the development of cities in Northern Kazakhstan. The author, the builder, the history of creation are unknown.
It is known from the fund of the Kostanay Regional Museum of Local Lore that the house belonged to the director of the gymnasium.
The reconstruction and the losses that changed the original appearance of the monument are insignificant. The partition was demolished, a doorway in the inner wall was laid. Later, extensions were built to the western and southern walls of the building.
Description of the monument
The dating of the monument is Con. XIX – beginning . XX centuries .
Location, address: Kostanay, Kairbekov str., 75/1, corner of Tauelsizdik str.
The building is located on the territory of the former gymnasium. A brick structure on a rubble ribbon foundation. The house is square in plan (10.40 x 11.0 m) with a compact layout.
The facades located along the intersection of Kairbekov –Tauelsizdik streets have a decorative design. Each of these facades is divided in the middle by rusticated blades, structurally linked to the internal structure. There are two paired windows in each part.
The roof is gable. The cornices are made in the form of stepped rows.
The height of the premises is 3.6 m. Construction volume – 411.8 m3
