On April 29, 2026, the exhibition "Through Smoke and Tears to the Light of Victory", dedicated to Victory Day in the Great Patriotic War, opened in the Department of Fine Arts of the Kostanay Regional Museum of Local Lore. The exhibition is a unique collection of works of art in which artists have captured the key moments of the war and Victory Day. These works reflect not only historical events, but also human experiences related to war, victory, sacrifice, and the joy of liberation. Artists of various generations, including those who directly experienced the war and those who comprehended these events through historical sources, conveyed their impressions through vivid images and symbols. Their works contain not only images of battles and heroism, but also deep personal feelings — the bitterness of loss, the desire for life, pride in the country and the feat of the people. The exhibition features works by artists A. Timofeev, B.Pak, A. Shestakov and other masters, whose paintings serve not only as a tribute to those who defended the world, but also as a reminder of how important this world is to us today. These works help us to see not only historical facts, but also to feel the emotional atmosphere of those years — pain, fear, hope and faith in victory.
