(1925, aul Sartol of Amangeldy district of Kostanay region - 1993) - one of the first Kazakh professional artists, People's Artist of Kazakhstan, Honored Artist of the Kazakh SSR, teacher, professor. In 1948 he graduated from the N.V. Gogol Alma-Ata Art College, where he studied with Abram Cherkassky, Leonid Leontiev. In 1951 he entered the Moscow State Institute. Surikova, is engaged under the guidance of the artist Fyodor Reshetnikov. A year before graduation, he was accepted into the Union of Artists of the USSR. From 1965 to 1980 - Professor of painting and Drawing at the Faculty of Architecture and Construction of the Kazakh State Polytechnic Institute named after V.I. Lenin.
In 1985 he was awarded the title of People's Artist of Kazakhstan. The author of historical, everyday, as well as landscape and genre paintings. The artist's works broadly reflect the folk character, glorify the life and traditions of the Kazakhs. The best of them are kept in the State Tretyakov Gallery, the State Museum of Arts of Kazakhstan named after A. Kasteev.
