Summer holidays are an ideal time for active visits to museums and exhibitions. On June 7, 2023, a new exhibition "Toys of my childhood" was opened in the Kostanay Regional Museum of Local Lore.

The exhibition includes an impressive collection of toys that reflects childhood memories and a child's sense of happiness. The world of games and toys is diverse. Part of the exhibition is devoted to rare vintage toys from the 1940s and 1980s from the museum's stock collection.

A separate section of the exhibition is dedicated to interior toys of Kostanay craftswomen. Along with the museum collections, there are several dozen toys: knitted, textile dolls, papier mache, made in various techniques.

A special place at the exhibition is given to the private collection of toy car models by the curator of the museum funds Sarsenbayev Yerbulat. Collecting cars is an exciting hobby for any age. An employee of the museum began to purchase collectible models of cars in 2015. To date, there are 128 cars of various brands and models in the collection, among them there are well-known foreign car brands such as Mercedes, Ferrari, Lamborghini, Bugatti, Aston Martin, Volkswagen, Porsche, etc.

Everyone who comes to the exhibition will find on it either a toy from his childhood, or what he once wanted more than anything in the world.

The exhibition will run from June 7 to July 7 in the exhibition hall of the Kostanay Regional Museum of Local Lore.
