On April 23, 2021, an exhibition of works by students and teachers of the L.I. Rusin Art School entitled "A City within a City" was opened in the Department of Fine Arts of the Kostanay Regional Museum of Local Lore.

The exhibition presents more than 130 creative works of students from 5 to 17 years old. In their content and execution, they are diverse and interesting, they show creative imagination and boundless imagination of students. Students of the school fully demonstrate how they are able to work in various techniques of watercolor, gouache, appliques, pastels, pencil, oil. The materials for creating works are paper, felt, wool thread, canvas, cardboard and much more.

The theme of the exhibition "A city within a city" is shown in all its diversity. They depict the hometown of Kostanay – these are familiar places, old courtyards, parks, squares, the embankment and other favorite corners.  In the presented compositions there are architectural monuments and sights of the capital Nur-Sultan and such cities of the world as Moscow, St. Petersburg, London, Paris. All these works are united by the main theme – love for your hometown, for your country, for your planet.

The viewer will get acquainted with an incredibly fantastic and amazing city, which was created thanks to the undoubted talent and great kindness of the soul of gifted children. It is wonderful that the art school, which is a temple of art for them, helps young artists to self-actualize and reveal their creative potential.

The exhibition will run for a month.
