On April 21, 2023, at 15:00, a creative meeting dedicated to the 73rd anniversary of the birth of the national poet of Kazakhstan Asia Berkenova took place in the Kostanay Regional Museum of the Department of Culture of the Akimat of Kostanay region.

National akyn of Kazakhstan, winner of many republican and international aityses, teacher Asiya Berkenova was born in 1950 in the village of Sulukol, Auliekol district, Kostanay region.

Asiya Berkenova - People's Poet of Kazakhstan, Excellence in Public Education, Excellence in Culture of Kazakhstan, Honorary Citizen of Kostanay Region. She began to participate in aitys from the 80s. For more than 40 years she has performed on stage, defending the honor of her native region. He is a laureate of international competitions held among poets of Mongolia, China, Uzbekistan, Karakalpakstan, Russia and Kazakhstan. During the creative meeting, Asiya Berkenova spoke about her life and creative path. And also the poetess donated to the museum a dombra with the name of her friend Aselkhan Kalybekova, with whom they participated in many aitys, opening the door to the world in one year and one day.
