February 13, 2025 Zhambyl Regional Universal Scientific Library named after Shokan Ualikhanov organized a regional seminar "Mangi ashpes zharyk zhuldyz: galymnyn omiri, sayakhattary zhane gylym yenbekteri" in Taraz, dedicated to the 190th anniversary of the birth of the great scientist, traveler, educator Shokan Shingisovich Ualikhanov.

The seminar, which was held online, was attended by the scientific secretary of the Kostanay Regional Museum of Local Lore, N.K. Otasheva. Against the background of the exposition and the traveling photographic exhibition, she spoke about the life and work of Sh.Ualikhanov, using archival documents and photographs from the museum's collections.
