On March 5, 2026, a mini-exhibition dedicated to the 2026 Bird of the Year in Kazakhstan – the blackbird – opened in the Fine Arts Department exhibition hall. It features materials about the animal's appearance, lifestyle, and distribution in our country. Every year, Kazakhstan selects a bird of the year to raise awareness of bird conservation. In 2026, the blackbird was chosen. Voting took place among current members of the Association for the Conservation of Biodiversity of Kazakhstan (ACBK).
