SARSEKEEV KOGABAI

(1939, Turgai village, Zhangeldinsky district, Kostanay region-2014) - writer, journalist, publicist. Honored Worker of Kazakhstan, laureate of the literary prize named after B. Mailin, the international prize "Alash", honorary citizen of Kostanay. Graduated from the Faculty of Journalism of the Kazakh State University. He worked as executive secretary of the newspaper "Қазақ әдебиеті", editor of the newspaper "Reader's Friend", chief editor of the publishing house "Жалын". Kogabai Sarsekeev was the editor-in-chief of the republican association "Қазақ кітап", the president of the Republican society of book distributors, the president of JSC "Сақ". Kogabai Sarsekeyev is the author of historical novels "Қызыл жалау" ("Red Flag"), "Заманақыр" ("The End of the World"), short stories "Turmoil", "1937".
