On November 10, 2023, in the exposition hall of the Fine Arts Department of the Kostanay Regional Museum of Local Lore at 15.00, the opening of the exhibition and the award ceremony following the results of the V Republican contest of young authors of fine and decorative arts "Zhas Tolkyn - 2023" took place. The theme of the exhibition-contest is "The Treasure of the native land".

The contest "Zhas Tolkyn – 2023" is held on the initiative of the Department of Culture of the Akimat of Kostanay region and the Kostanay Regional Organization of the Union of Artists of the Republic of Kazakhstan on the basis of the Kostanay Regional Museum of Local Lore.

This year, 74 applications were accepted for participation in the competition. Applications were accepted from project participants from 16 to 35 years old inclusive.

The participants are represented by young authors from Kostanay region, as well as from the regions of Kazakhstan - Astana, Almaty, Aktobe, Kokshetau, Petropavlovsk, Pavlodar, Uralsk, West Kazakhstan and Atyrau regions.

The contest entries were evaluated in four categories: painting, graphics, sculpture, decorative and applied art. In each nomination, the jury members determined the prizes and cash prizes. The Grand Prix was determined by the jury members.

To evaluate the works and summarize the results of the competition, an independent jury worked, which included professional artists and an expert in fine arts: member of the Union of Journalists of the Republic of Kazakhstan, member of the Union of Artists of the Republic of Kazakhstan, art critic Maria Zhumagulova; sculptor, member of the Union of Artists of the Republic of Kazakhstan Bayan Batalova; graphic artist, painter, member of the Union of Artists of the Republic of Kazakhstan Sergey Dmitrievich Lugovoy; Lyazzat Tulekova, Head of the Department of Literature on Art of the L.N. Tolstoy Regional Universal Scientific Library; chairman of the jury, graphic artist, painter, member of the Union of Artists of the Republic of Kazakhstan Vadim Bykov.

Following the results of the competition, the participants were awarded certificates.

By unanimous decision of the jury , the seats were distributed in the following order:
