On July 28, 2023, the regional Museum of Local Lore in Semey hosted the grand opening of the exhibition "Halyk Batyrs" from the funds of the Kostanay Regional Museum of Local Lore, the regional Museum of the History of the Steppe Region in the city of Arkalyk, the Amangelda Memorial Museum of A.Imanov, the Zhangeldinsky complex of museums in Torgai. The exhibition presents photographs and archival documents about the events in the steppe caused by the publication of the tsar's decree on conscription for rear work. In addition to the photo-documentary material, a number of exhibits are presented - these are the dombra of Amangeldy Imanov, personal belongings of A. Imanov's relatives, sarbazov weapons, a chest and a model of the mausoleum of Keiki Batyr. Also on display are paintings and sculptures by People's artists of Kazakhstan – Abilkhan Kasteev, Nagymbek Nurmukhamedov; Honored Artist of the Kazakh SSR, People's Artist of the TASSR Baki Urmanche; graphic works by famous portrait painter Anna Martova; works by artist Zarina Niyazova, great-granddaughter of A.Imanov; a sculptural portrait of Amangeldy Imanov, made by the first Kazakh sculptor, People's Artist of Kazakhstan Khakimzhan Nauryzbayev, two sculptures of Ukrainian sculptor, People's Artist of Ukraine Yefim Bialystotsky, a bust of Keika Batyr, which was created by Hungarian anthropologists. The event was attended by intellectuals, local historians, scientists and residents of the city. This exhibition will run from July 28 to August 28, 2023 at the Regional Museum of Local Lore in Semey.
