On January 29, 2025, in the exhibition hall of the fine arts department of the Kostanay Regional Museum of History and Local Lore, the opening of an exhibition in memory of the Kostanay artist Georgy Sokov “The Echo of His Voice. Start.". The exhibition features 52 paintings and graphic works by the author. Georgy Mikhailovich Sokov died untimely on July 25, 2024. On January 29 of this year, artist Georgy Sokov would have turned 84 years old. This exhibition was organized in memory of the author and his work. The exhibited works of art by Georgy Mikhailovich Sokov were written in the initial period of his creative activity and date mostly from the beginning of the 1960s to 1975 inclusive. The viewer will again plunge into the figurative and amazing world of the imaginative and limitless creative space of Georgy Sokov. The presented works of Georgy Mikhailovich clearly reflect his author’s style of writing, his original play of imagination, coming from his inner rich and filled content. A personal exhibition dedicated to the memory of Georgy Mikhailovich Sokov will run for a month.
