"Beauty Lives Everywhere" - an exhibition of Ural artists from the museum's collection
The Kostanay Regional Museum of History and Local Lore has opened an exhibition of Ural artists from the museum's collection, "Beauty Lives Everywhere". The exhibition of graphic works by Ural artists is not just an event for art lovers, but also a real cultural milestone that reveals the richness and diversity of the Russian region. The Urals with its harsh landscapes, rich history and unique cultural atmosphere inspire artists to create works that vividly convey the spirit of this place. The exhibition presents graphic works by artists L. Perevalov, M. Distergeft and L. Weibert, made in the technique of linocut and etching. The entire life and work of the artist L. Perevalov were inextricably linked with the Urals. He depicted the landscapes of his native land with special love. These are early linocuts with sharp strokes and rough silhouettes. These are transparent watercolors and exquisite pencil drawings. It is not so much the variety of techniques that amazes, but the variety of states and feelings conveyed on a white sheet with a brush, pencil and chisel. Artist Mikhail Distergeft worked in the field of landscape, thematic painting, historical portrait, monumental painting, graphics. The creator was equally good at various genres. M. Distergeft owns a graphic series dedicated to Stalin's repressions. Lev Weibert is an artist, a member of the Union of Artists of the USSR. He is a master in a variety of techniques. He is an impeccable etching artist, linocut artist, brilliant aquatint artist, and the black velvet of his mezzotint is simply inimitable. Such exhibitions often attract the attention of viewers, because the art of graphics is unique and diverse.
