Republican scientific and practical conference dedicated to the 95th anniversary of the Batpakkar uprising “Uprisings of 1929-1931. in Kazakhstan: research and new data"
The history of Kostanay region is full of tragic events, when the destinies and lives of thousands of citizens were broken. One of the numerous hotbeds of protests, the uprising in the Batpakkarinsky district of the Kostanay district, turns 95 years old this year.
On April 24, 2024, the Kostanay Regional Museum of Local Lore held the republican scientific and practical conference "Uprisings of 1929-1931 in Kazakhstan: research and new data".
At the conference, which was held offline and online, presentations were made by: Doctor of Historical Sciences, Professor, Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan Abzhanov H.M. (Almaty); Candidate of Historical Sciences Khaidarov E.E. (Uralsk); Auanasova A.M., Doctor of Historical Sciences, Professor of the Institute of State History of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education RK (Astana): Drebezgova M. G., Head of the research department for ensuring the general history of the KGKP "Museum of Memory of victims of Political Repression P. Dolinka" (Karaganda region); Sagintayev B. Zh., researcher at the Regional Museum of the History of the Steppe Region in the city of Arkalyk; Abzhanova K.Zh., head of the KSU "Amangeldinsky Museum named after A. Imanov and other scientists, historians, local historians, researchers of the state museums of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The welcoming speech was delivered by the head of the Department of Culture of the Akimat of Kostanay region Kuralbek Burkitbayevich Atamuratov and Doctor of Historical Sciences, Professor Amanzhol Kuzembayuly.
During the conference, scientific research conducted by historians of our country aimed at studying the consequences of the policy of forced collectivization and other political campaigns of the authorities against the peasantry was discussed. The causes, consequences and historical significance of anti-Soviet protests during the period of collectivization were considered.
A thematic exhibition "95th anniversary of the uprising in Batpakkara" from the museum's funds was prepared for the participants and guests of the event.
